I can relate about the birds holding torches. In my most recent short story ‘Odd Little Suck’ I’ve got cows walking upright and doing dishes. I’m sure some of my readers are wondering, WTF? But that’s the point, and sometimes it’s best to let the reader wonder how the hell a bird could hold a torch, or a cow could do dishes.
