I love this!!! As a current dweller in a cheap apartment, I play this game all the time and it’s quite entertaining.

Also, it reminds me of two of my favorite things. One is Miss Spink and Miss Forcible in Neil Gaiman’s Coraline and the other is Wise Children By Angela Carter.

Can’t wait to read more!

Yay I'm glad you like it!

Ohh Wise Children sounds amazing. I might have to pick that one up soon.

Sean, I have enjoyed everything you write and honestly, I'm worried that I'm starting to look like a stalker.

Finally! I've gone my entire life without a stalker, it's about time! haha

That means a lot, thank you!

Its a fun premise - constructing the life of neighbours, based on sounds and observations. 🩶

Love this concept for a serial, jealous. Wish I thought of it. I feel like I need something to supplement my shorts.

Can’t wait to see what you come up with listening through those paper thin walls!

Thanks, Clancy! Yes! Keeping up the momentum is difficult when you're wrestling with longer pieces. I'm hoping this is an easy way to keep the cadence feeling consistent, but without the fluff that supplemental works can sometimes feel like.

I really like your retrospectives. How is that working for you? I've thought about doing something like that.

oh something is afoot sean. I can tell!

Oh no! Now I need to figure out what that is, don't I? haha

Intrigued! Eccentric or not, there’s always one sister being told to calm down.

This is so fun! With the Baby Jane reference on the navigation page, I’m emotionally preparing myself for some macabre turns of events, but I already adore Flo and Aggie.

Thanks, Bridget! I adore them, too. I'm not sure where this is going, but I'm hoping for the best for everyone. haha

Sean, first of all, I'm completely hooked in this intro, but there is also an incredible coincidence. Five minutes before I started reading, I was listening to an old recording of the band singer Dolly Dawn singing, "A Kiss Before You Leave Me." Well, this is all kismet. I am destined to read the rest of this story hearing Dolly sing that song in my head. ---I love the contrast between the mysterious sisters and your hung-over protagonist.

That's wild! We share a brain! <3

Sean, follow this link to Dolly Dawn. She had a very good voice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuGZjJt2lTs

Oh I know! I had a friend introduce me to her music back in the early 2000s. I think about her often.

You're kidding! Well, Emily Dickenson once wrote, "Great minds meet by burrowing." Fortunately, no one's underground, but our 'great' minds are meeting anyhow.

This is written very true to life! Interesting to see what could happen next in such a mundane setting…

This is a cool concept. I wonder what the nosy neighbour is going to find out. I picture a really creepy thing going on. Love the atmosphere in this Sean.

We are all getting all nosy into this strange business!

haha yeah I don't know, honestly. Maybe they're just eccentric? lol

So good! Keen to read more about these two!
