Victory! The glimpse inside the apartment is a major battle in the campaign and I wish our narrator all the best in further stages of this important strategic operation.
I forgot to comment on the Bing Crosby/Danny Kaye attachment. "White Christmas" is one of my wife and my favorite movies and is connected to the Lower East Side of New York in a way that's very different from my recent dark stories about the neighborhood. When I was a little boy, I slept over my Grandma Esther's house on Rivington Street and she took me to see "White Christmas." When we left the theater it was SNOWING - just like in the movie. Magic on the Lower East Side.
Sometimes I think that you must live parallel lives in different regions of the country. You have such a good understanding of the different types of people who inhabit your story and your imagination. Paper thin is a beautiful little piece - different from your other work and very special.

I’m fascinated by whatever’s going on with Aggie and Uncle Lou! This was such an interesting, surreal installment.
Thank you! ❤️ They're fun to write.

What a great story. I can see the bright-eyed Sandy in my mind's eye, catching snowflakes on his tongue.
