Yep! I was thinking about how I’ve discovered books on Substack in the past, and many times it’s because I catch an episode or two of a serial first. So it’s sort of marketing / providing another medium for folks to read the story. There’s also the accessibility angle with the app reader.
I’m a fairly slow reader—my mind likes to jump all over the place. ha
Cool! I'll enjoy reading this a second time. And it's fun to see how you came up with the Cherilyn Kills character. Thank you! I'll need to keep a handle on myself, though, because if I get overly excited I'll start spilling spoilers, and I don't want to ruin it for anyone. For those who don't yet own a physical copy: I highly recommend "Cherry Kills," Mr. McDonnell does indeed come across with the heart, horror, and humor...
Cherry is an interesting character. You've hinted at her troubles. Looking forward to finding out more about her past and how she is dealing with it in the present.
Sean, "Cherry Kills" KILLS! Every thing about it is uinique, original and has that very special Sean McDonnell touch. I love it. I can't believe that you even know about Vivient Leigh and Claudette Colbert's turns at playing Cleopatra. I know that aged trivia. You're too young, but it's so great that you do. Cherry jumps off the page as a character and poor Mai with her black lips and dripping masczra are both vividly described. What a treat!
Exciting! 🍒🍒
So you’re sharing here too ? Good on ya man ; I’ve about half way through your book . My mind takes a long time to read but dig it

No spoilers, Jeannine! haha
You rule the school! <3
🤐
Okay: If you're serializing your published novel here, I can do it with mine...
Do it! :)
Just trying to figure out a schedule first- weekly or daily…
Daily is a lot. Have you seen other people do that with success?
Some, but not many. Besides, my books are short, so the serialization would be over faster if it was daily or bidaily…

Thanks, K.C! She was fun to write.

Ahh thank you, friend. That means the world to me. And it was so good seeing you the other day! <3
You got me hooked! I love Cherry already. This story has "Sin City" vibes if you mixed it with "Cool World" or "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". Fascinating!
Ohhh, I love the Cool World and Who Framed Roger Rabbit references. Never considered than, but can totally see what you mean.
Ok I’ll be getting this book 🍒
<3!! Well that makes my day. Thank you!
I got the ebook and realized I can’t really read ebooks !!!!
Oh no! Would you rather have print?
I’m getting a paperback 🩷
